First and foremost, I must thank Mark and FB people for providing this opportunity for the world. I don’t take it for granted. I have seen the wonders it can make. Secondly, the majestic Narok Youth for waking up!
For standing up, for walking, and above all, progressively engage in honorable matters that will shape who we will be as a people, and as a nation. As a Maasai from the North west part of Mt. Kenya ( LN) I follow you very closely.
I listen to your voices and learn from you. I have a severe motivation to let you know who we are as the Maa people of the North today, the problems we have, and how we can together solve them. That is why it is important for me to just listen for now, see how you’re doing it and borrow the best part of it for replication in LN. On the other side LN Nchura and Sinkikin are at work.
Their hands are deep in the mad that we live in today, sorting out what we can refuge and throwing away what we deem waste and irrelevant. Tackling the Maasai issue, if you allow me, is a little different people.
We have been systematically marginalized, and most of our leaders, have in many ways collaborated with the oppressive system to defraud our people with Impunity.
This is my opinion.
Or what is the reason then, that more than 60% of total Kenyan economy is produced directly or indirectly by the Maasai yet, 70% of us are illiterate, same amount live below 1 dollar per day(Laikipia North 99% live below 1 dollar) and still we vote for them because they’re the devil we know.
To be honest, am always puzzled when I see our loving mother especially, singing sacred songs to these imposters. I wish there was a way to bring about human dignity to our people without ever coming anywhere in the neighborhood of POWER! I utterly detest such a power if it ‘ll continue to look like it does today in Kenya.
Youth-Led Narok County Congress, You have my blessings. Aishoo taa intae Inkera e Papa o yieyio, inkamula e mpiroi ang oo Sieuri o no orporor lang loo Irkisaruni.
